About Catherine de Crevecoeur
A stylist, fashion and image consultant, catherine spent years styling women with different needs and styles. Her dream was to celebrate these women as well as those who surrounded her on a daily basis by creating her own range of beautiful, bold statement pieces of jewellery. She spent time designing unique, colourful pieces until she was ready to create and introduce her first collection, "Les Midinettes"* to the world. Each design is named after a woman who holds a special place in Catherine's heart.
Catherine sources her materials from the highest quality leather suppliers who comply with REACH** standards. She also uses hypoallergenic, gold plated metal finishes.
*About "Les Midinettes"
Les Midinettes was the name given to the women who worked in the Paris fashion houses during the early 1900s. They worked 10 hour days and took their "dinette" out to the parks of the city on their lunch breaks (hence the name "Midinettes"). In 1917, they were the first women to march the streets of the French capital as they fought for better salaries and free Saturday afternoons. Some say that it's thanks to the Midinettes that the myth of "La Parisienne" is born: Elegant, natural, distinguished, svelt and chic no matter what their financial means.
